ARTNEWSPRESS: Nicolas Cage and Kelsey Grammar teamed up for a murder suspense thriller called Grand Isle, and today we the first trailer to share with you. I’ve gotta say, I never expected to see these two actors star in the same film together, but here we are and it looks… interesting.
The film was directed by cameraman turned director Stephen S. Campanelli, and the film tells the story of a man named Walter (Cage) and his neglected wife, Fancy (KaDee Strickland), as they lure a young man into their Victorian home in order to escape a hurricane. “When the man is later charged with murder by Det. Jones (Grammar), he must reveal the couple’s wicked secrets to save himself.”
The movie is obviously going to be filled with twists and turns as the young man recalls the twisted events that took place in the home. The movie has a Southern Gothic tone to it that I kinda dig.
The cast for the film also includes Luke Benward, Emily Marie Palmer, Zulay Henao, and Oliver Trevena. The movie is set to be released on December 6th. Watch the trailer and let us know if you’re interested in checking it out.
