‘Fantastic Four’: Ebon Moss-Bachrach Rumored To Play The Thing

Artnewspress: Fans have been calling for Ebon Moss-Bachrach to join the MCU as The Thing ever since his breakout role on The Bear. A new rumor suggests that their Fantastic Four prayers may very well be answered.

This latest rumor comes from The Hot Mic podcast. While previously host Jeff Sneider stated that Ebon Moss-Bacharach was cast in Fantastic Four in a separate role, the newest episode of their show suggests he has been cast as Ben Grimm a.k.a. The Thing in the MCU.

This rumor should certainly be taken with a grain of salt. Not only is this rumor a correction from a previous report about Ebon Moss-Bacharach’s Fantastic Four role, but the original rumor was bundled with the information that Jack Quaid was cast as The Human Torch which the actor has since debunked. While Moss-Bacharach would certainly be a fun Ben Grimm, The Thing with rumors is that they’re never confirmed until official news is already out, meaning fans will have to wait for MCU news either way.

What we know about the Fantastic Four movie

The Fantastic Four reboot is expected to be a fresh take on the classic Marvel characters, with a new cast. Matt Shakman is directing the movie from a screenplay by Josh Friedman. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters in 2025.

John Krasinski played the Earth-838 variant of Reed Richards in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but his future as the character is currently in doubt. Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt has said that she’s hopeful we’ll see the actor back as Richards for Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four opens on February 14, 2025.  Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
