Kang’s Power In Quantumania Was Nothing Compared To What Marvel’s Set Up

Artnewspress: Following the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it’s more than likely that the exiled Kang the Conqueror will become even more powerful.
Although Kang the Conqueror was defeated in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a key scene teases he could return as one of the most powerful Kang variants ever. Having been exiled to the Quantum Realm by other Kangs in the vast multiverse, Kang swore revenge as soon as he could escape the subatomic universe existing outside of time and space. For that he needed Scott Lang’s help, resulting in one of the most important scenes in the first official film for Phase 5.

For the sake of his daughter Cassie, Ant-Man agreed to help Kang with his multiversal engine core which Janet van Dyne blew up before her escape from the Quantum Realm as seen in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. Needing it to power his Time Chair as his only means of escape, the exiled Kang forced Scott to dive into the core and return it to its original size to keep Cassie alive. However, the multiversal energies within saw Scott getting caught in a probability storm, one that could have some serious implications for Kang considering the movie’s ending.

The Probability Storm Was A Major Moment For Ant-Man and the Wasp

Due to the probability storm, Scott is faced with countless replications of himself with each one representing a potential choice he could make while inside the core. As such, Ant-Man finds himself surrounded by a dysfunctional army of Scotts with each one attempting to do something different. However, Cassie calling out to Ant-Man through his helmet communications unifies all these versions of Scott together as one force dedicated to saving their daughter.

Additionally, the arrival of Hope van Dyne’s Wasp and her own legion of variants coalesce after she catches Scott, and his variants do the same despite the probability storm. This results in one Ant-Man and one Wasp committed to each other and a singular choice devoid of variables. Upon reuniting and working together, they successfully revert the engine core to its original size, and it’s undeniably a powerful moment for the two heroes that strongly highlights their relationship.

Quantumania’s Exiled Kang Can Become The Most Powerful Variant

While the probability storm is a great scene for Scott and Hope, their ability to overcome it communicates volumes thanks to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s ending. At the end of the third act, the exiled Kang is sucked into the multiversal engine core, seemingly defeated by Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, it’s likely that he’s simply trapped rather than destroyed, and probably not for long.

Assuming Kang also has the potential to overcome the probability storm with a singular will and motivation (which he definitely possesses), he could potentially manipulate and take advantage of the core’s power. As such, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was likely only the precursor for the exiled Kang the Conqueror. Despite all of his other variants being introduced throughout the universe, there’s a strong possibility that he’ll eventually make his return to the MCU more powerful than ever before.
