Married At First Sight Season 14: Everything We Know So Far

Artnewspress: Married at First Sight is currently filming in Boston, Massachusetts. Here is everything that we know about the hit show’s upcoming season so far.

The Lifetime network’s reality series Married at First Sight was renewed for season 14 after winning over millions and millions of fans. Who would’ve thought that a series about arranged marriages that happened “at first sight” would last for so long? Over the course of almost a decade, there have been many highs and lows. Unfortunately, the most recent season was one of the least successful yet.

Season 13 had five couples, and only one is still standing. Ryan Ignasiak and Brett Layton had one of the most low-key splits out of all of the divorced couples, as they agreed to be friends. However, there is talk that they both started pursuing new relationships while they were still filming. Bao Hoang and Johnny Lam ultimately weren’t compatible but wanted the best for each other. Gil Cuero and Myrla Feria split a few days after the reunion, leaving Gil shocked, as he’d fallen in love with Myrla. Some Married at First Sight fans thought Myrla and Johnny were dating after vacationing together in Mexico, but they are just close friends who are dating other people. Rachel Gordillo and Jose San Miguel Jr. are together. While Jose locked Rachel out of their apartment at one point, and the two broke up after Decision Day, the couple is now giving their marriage one last shot.

According to Parade, MAFS season 14 is moving from the South to the East Coast. It’s already being filmed in Boston, Massachusetts. Hopefully, the new MAFS will be authentic and successful. Audiences can expect season 14 in early 2022, with season 15 likely to come along later in the year. As per show standards, the stars are residents of the city the show is filmed in (Boston), who are over 25 years of age. All of them have passed psychological evaluations. The new couples are Alyssa and Chris, Jasmina and Michael, Katina and Olajuwon, Lindsey and Mark, and Noi and Steve.

The group features animal lovers, spiritual explorers, and friends of former cast members. One star of the upcoming season took inspiration from his grandparent’s happy arranged marriage. Fans will learn more during season 14’s premiere on Jan. 5, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET. Fans will get a sneak peek with the season 14 Matchmaking Special, which comes to Lifetime on Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Kickoff Special on Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. ET.

It’s true that MAFS season 13 had separations and divorces galore, and hopefully, the upcoming season will feature more successful pairings. Regardless of how things turn out for the fresh-faced couples, loyal fans of MAFS will be watching, no matter what. As 2021 draws to a close, they will be eagerly awaiting the first taste of a Married at First Sight East Coast adventure.
