Parasite Named Film Of The Year At The London Critics Circle Film Awards

Artnewspress: Thursday evening saw the London Film Critics enter into the awards season with their ceremony. And the big winner of the night was Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite, which earned Film Of The Year and Director Of The Year.

As is common, the awards were spread among several movies, including Portrait Of A Lady On Fire (as Foreign Language Film), Noah Baumbach winning Screenwriter for Marriage Story (which also picked up a Supporting Actress award for Laura Dern) and this year’s leading acting contenders, Joker‘s Joaquin Phoenix and Judy‘s Renée Zellweger. The Irishman‘s Joe Pesci scored Supporting Actor.

In the British acting categories, Florence Pugh and Robert Pattinson were triumphant, while Breakthrough British/Irish Filmmaker was Bait‘s Mark Jenkin. See the full list below.
