‘Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom’: New Poster Shows Off An Unlikely Duo

Artnewspress: The tides are turning for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom! A new poster for the upcoming DC Universe film showcases Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry posing with an unlikely ally: Patrick Wilson’s Orm.

Much of the marketing for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom has focused on the war between Black Manta and Arthur Curry. However, it seems as though there may be a more important relationship returning from the first film, with a new poster showcasing Jason Momoa’s Arthur with Patrick Wilson’s Orm.

James Wan has previously confirmed that Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom would be akin to a buddy cop movie with Arthury Curry and Orm. This poster gives fans their first clear look at Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson together for the film, seemingly helping bolster confidence in the DC Studios film many say is destined to fail.

The future of the DC Universe

James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room, and a unified storyline across film, television, animation, and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Blue Beetle have all been released following the announcement of the new DC Universe, with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom still slated to hit theaters in 2023. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DCU? Only Gunn and Safran know.
